Franciscan Crown Rosary - Seven Joys of Mary Rosary

The Franciscan Crown Rosary originated from a postulant at a Franciscan monastery. He was distressed because the head friar told him not to place a crown on the statue of Mary while he was praying, as he was used to doing. He was going to leave the monastery when he had a vision of Mary telling him to stay and pray a special rosary in her honor to crown her with prayer. Because the meditation is on the Seven Joys of Mary, it is also called a Seven Joys Rosary.

This rosary is carefully handcrafted with seven decades of fire polished crystal beads, blue in honor of Our Lady. The “Hail Mary” beads are 6mm and the “Lord’s Prayer” beads are 8mm with silver-plated beadcaps. It features a silver-plated 1.75 inch San Damiano Crucifix. A 1 inch silver-plated centerpiece of Our Lady crowned with stars finishes the rosary.

This is a traditional Franciscan Crown Rosary. The main loop is approximately 38 inches (96cm). It is not intended to be worn, however it will fit over the head if so desired.

Thick sturdy wire is carefully twisted into tightly closed loops to make a Chaplet that will withstand regular use. For the best care of your Chaplet, please keep it in its bag when not in use.

This is not a toy and is not intended for use by children under 3 years old. Some beads can be harmful if ingested and can pose a choking risk if swallowed. Please do not allow your child (or anyone else) to place any part of this item in their mouth. Children under 12 years old should only use with adult supervision.
